September Camping

Our first camping trip since school started and it couldn't have come at a better time.  We had both had a busy and long week and this was the perfect way to end it.  We changed plans on location literally as we were pulling out of the driveway and decided to head back to Shouse Ford on DeGray Lake since we liked it so much last time.  The weather had been hot and miserable but Friday turned into fall all the sudden.  It was GREAT!!!
I love that my Big Bear loves to cook!  So, as I sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the view.  He cooked us some yummy steaks and grilled corn.
Now, in the fall, I admit, we tend to plan our trips around the Razorback football schedule.  Well, we discovered in this camper, we may not have to do that as much.  It was just like watching the game at home - only we were camping on the lake with an awesome view and a nice breeze coming through the windows.  Even Rex relaxed and called the hogs! :)

We even had a little game day spread!!  WPS!  And, the Hogs WON!  It was a great day! ha!
Sunday morning was a little chilly and Rex was shivering outside as we got ready for breakfast, so we "dressed" him up! LOL!
 Our campsite:
We got a little fishing in on Sunday morning, but mostly it was a relax, eat, nap, football kind of trip. :)  I caught one croppie - a baby.  We did see a big beaver as we walked down and it swam off.  At first I thought it was a small dog.  Those things are BiG!
